Hi...I have a Pomegranate ("Wonderful") that I hacked way back when it first started to come out of hibernation. I think this was in April, but I can't remember for sure. Well, it has grown back like a weed (These things are BEASTS!),but has not flowered. Is it going to flower/fruit this season or did I screw up? My wife is ready to kick my butt.
Thanks, Wayne.

I doubt it will blossom this season, during the heavy hack you've probably cut off the fruit setting spurs. Fear not though, it will get back into fruit set next season.
Ask your wife not to kick too hard.. dry.gif

How can I trim it back and not ruin next season? The monster gets HUGE and starts to fall over.

Pomegranates do not require punning to set fruit the following season, you can prune them for shape and/or light penetration. Once you have the main structure established for your Pom and you want to keep it within a specific size/shape without loosing the fruit set Only Prune Half the wood, select the wood you want to remove and prune half of the selected material each season. This allows the remaining limbs to set fruit that season, after that years harvest you can remove the wood that wasn't cut because the material that was cut has regrown and will spur up the following season ie, the following spring.
