Excellent Late Season Apple. Preforms well in the American Southwest Heat, sets constant crops with a pollinator such as Gala or Cripps Red. Cripps Pink requires a very long growing period and a hot climate, and hence is only grown in the warmer apple-growing regions of South Africa, USA, southern Europe - and of course Australia. Strong sunlight in autumn is vital for the pink coloration to develop and growers may remove the top-most leaves of the trees to allow light to penetrate. Cripps Pink is a moderately vigourous tree and hangs on to its leaves well into winter.
The current inventory of Cripps Pink in #15 size containers (15 gallon) and CAN NOT be shipped for a reasonable cost due to weight. All orders are for "Local Pick Up" only.
