The classic California fig variety, grown for generations for its deep purple-black skin and rich, sweet, pink-red flesh. Black Mission is a vigorous grower that produces two crops per year in the low desert - an early breba crop in late spring/early summer, and a heavier main crop in late summer. Excellent fresh, dried, or preserved.
