Not a true lime botanically, but a lemon-mandarin hybrid with a deep orange rind and tart, acidic flesh similar to a lemon. Rangpur is notably more cold hardy than true limes, making it a dependable choice for Arizona plantings, and its juice is prized for cooking, marmalade, and as a lime substitute in mixed drinks. Also widely used as citrus rootstock.
